MADMAN by Andy Kuhn

Here's my drawing of Mike Allred's awesome character Madman.
I've been a fan of Mike's work since I picked up his graphic novel
Dead Air back in 1989. His work always conveys a kinetic sense of fun,
and I love it. Hope you dig the drawing. Thanks for looking!

Madman by Rev. Dave Johnson

Well, I still find myself behind the deadline 8-ball but I still wanted to post some Madman goodness. This is a pin-up I did for Allred a while back. Please forgive. I'm not well.

MAD MAN, er, um MAD MEN by Urbanbarbarian

Since it actually is April Fool's Day, here's my Mad Man, er, um... Mad Men contribution as suggested by Dave Johnson! I am a fan of Mike Allred's Madman though and own the Bowen Designs bust to prove it!

Recorded my digital pencils for you curious folk.

I can't believe I skipped a Twart week (Emma Frost) and I was almost skipping this week too. But I couldn't pass on the chance to draw Mike's creation.
I have been fan of Madman for some time, so it was a pleasure to meet the "brain" behind this character (and co-creator with Chris Roberson of the excellent Vertigo's iZombie) and his lovely (and talented colorist) wife at a dinner in Baltimore last year (the Roberson's were there too, along with Matt Wagner and my better half :))

Hope you guys dig my classic horror approach :)

Cheers,
Francesco

MADMAN by tom fowler

i've been a very busy person lately, so it's been difficult to contribute anything i felt was worth showing. but when steve suggested madman, how could i resist?

mike's been a good friend and a source of encouragement and inspiration to me for years. whether he knows it or not, he's also (through a series of weird coincidences and my former penchant for wearing suits) largely responsible for my formal entry into comics.

thanks mike! i love you, man.

MADMAN by Chris Samnee

I've been a crazy, huge fan of Mike Allred and his wonderful creation Madman for ages now and couldn't have been more jazzed when I heard that he (Madman, not Mike ) was the subject of this week's theme.
I'm currently still buried under deadlines but how could I not devote a bit of my morning to sketching the ginchiest hero in Snap City? HOW I ASK YOU?!! : D

Oh, and the pencils for this piece are over on my blog HERE if you wanna take a gander at a rougher, sloppier version of what you see above.

MADMAN by Mitch Gerads

Steve Bryant, you magnificent genius.

There's two books that are super near and dear to my heart and those are Steve Rude's NEXUS and Mike Allred's Madman. Imagine my reaction when they did the crossover!

Aside from the best Zany, wacky, crazy adventures around, Mike Allred's opus features my 2nd favorite comic couple of Frank and Joe. Lois and Clark being the #1 pick. Imagine my reaction when they did the crossover!

You know what crossover Frank hasn't been a part of? Batman. So without dealing with any copyright crossovers, here's my homage to a Madman/Batman crossover, cuz' you KNOW Frank would be all over that if he could!

Inks!
