LOOSE ENDS by Declan Shalvey
Hey folks, here's my piece for this week's Twart. It was my pick this week and I really wanted to shine the spotlight on a fantastic new comic by creators at the top of their game. I complain that when I pick up a comic I often have to pick between a good story or good art. It is tough to find a comic that is both well written AND illustrated with real vision (including some brave and innovative colouring). LOOSE ENDS is one of those books. Issue One just came out on stands. Please try and grab a copy of this truly compelling Southern/Crime/Romance story, or you can download it online from Graphicly.
Big thanks to Jordie for colouring this piece for me.

Hot DAMN that's pretty you guys! Just really well done all around. And a great pick, Dec!
Gorgeous. I can feel the searing heat off those colours, yowza.
Fantastic - and yeah, the coloring really evokes Rico's narrative approach to color. Hot and uneasy.
Great job, guys! And great pick, Dec.

So cool, Declan! Love especially how you handled Tuck, never quite got the hang of him myself, but you nailed it, Jordie too (texture and lighting especially). Umm....can i steal that lil Cheri icon? Thanks mang, this put a stupid grin on my face.
