ROALD DAHL by Ron Salas

I don't know if I'll get to finish this before the end of the week but I wanted to at least post this because I really had a lot of fun with this week's theme. Tom is great at picking the themes I would never have thought of doing and a pretty ways away from my wheelhouse so I find I always get to try new stuff when his turn comes around.

Anyway, here's the sketch, from The Enormous Crocodile.

Edit: Posted the final, or as final as it will be at this time.

Edit 2: As per Tom's request, here's the original sketch.

The pencils have that 18th century illustration feel to it, which is GREAT! :) The colored version is just too good, including the type (and you know I love hand drawn type :))

Cheers,
Francesco

Amazing, Ron! That piece is just LOADED with character. It's my favorite "twart" in a long time and considering the consistently high quality of the work posted on this blog, that's saying something. Well done!
