Since it's Mitch's pick, I'll let him explain who Captain America: The Fighting Avenger is to those of you that don't know.And I normally wouldn't promote my own books on Comic Twart, but it's too easy this week so . . .
Tomorrow, my first issue of Captain America (#617) is on stands (I'm doing co-features on #617-619, then take over as the regular artist when it becomes Captain America and Bucky with issue #620).
Also, make sure to get to your local comic shop for Free Comic Book Day on May 7th so you can pick up Captain America and Thor: The Mighty Fighting Avengers (written by Roger Langridge and drawn by yours truly). It's a really fun story and best of all, it's FREE!

Fantastic, as I would have predicted. Such a cool iconic characterful image too. This reminds me of Donner/Reeve Superman: the smile to camera from Earth's orbit, or the when Supes meets the President
