And I normally wouldn't promote my own books on Comic Twart, but it's too easy this week so . . .
Tomorrow, my first issue of Captain America (#617) is on stands (I'm doing co-features on #617-619, then take over as the regular artist when it becomes Captain America and Bucky with issue #620).
Also, make sure to get to your local comic shop for Free Comic Book Day on May 7th so you can pick up Captain America and Thor: The Mighty Fighting Avengers (written by Roger Langridge and drawn by yours truly). It's a really fun story and best of all, it's FREE!
Hope you get a chance to pick up both!
And, I posted the "pencils" for this sketch over on my blog, along with info on where to find me this Free Comic Book Day!

Awesome man. I'll definitely be picking up those books!
That's a beauty, Chris! Looking forward to picking up both books.
Fantastic, as I would have predicted. Such a cool iconic characterful image too. This reminds me of Donner/Reeve Superman: the smile to camera from Earth's orbit, or the when Supes meets the President
Fuck this is like beyond being awesome !
This image tells a story! So well done!
I KNEW you'd knock this one out of the park!

Thank you for such a sweet tutorial - all this time later, I've found it and love the end result. I appreciate the time you spent sharing your skills.
