Originally I was going to do a jokey drawing of Jar Jar. Then I thought it's way harder to make Jar Jar look cool than stupid.
It turns out the only way for me to make Jar Jar Binks look cool,
is to draw him really small on the page!

I met Ahmed Best at a wedding. He was so damn nice and charming that I have found it hard to hate Mr. Binks like I used to. I think if Lucas hadn't abandoned the character and instead let him evolve into a bad-ass who does something heroic and goes out in a blaze of glory, that would have been great. And I think it might have looked something like this.
