SILVER SABLE by Francesco Francavilla
(click on the above image for the larger poster view)
Thank you for chosing such a cool (no pun intended ;)) character, Patrick, alway available to draw some girls (we barely have a few in here ;))
Hope you guys dig this - it has been a while since my last "cover" art :)
Ok, back to work, gotta lots of comics to draw (actually you can order Black Panther Man Without Fear #513 and Detective Comics #871 & #872 right now on Previews ;))
Cheers,
Francesco

POPEYE by Urban Barbarian
It's hard to follow Doc Shaner on this round - so imagine this illustration is somewhere far below his! Always loved this strip and animated show as a little kid! I've never drawn him before. But now I can see why Terry Austin used to sneak him into his backgrounds so often! BTW, I love spinach! Just not cooked...

POPEYE by Evan Shaner
Thanks for indulging me this week, guys. Popeye's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, long before I started reading about capes and such. If for some reason you haven't picked up that first volume of Segar's strip from Fantagraphics, do yourself a favor and read up on some of the funniest writing and sharpest cartooning in comics history.
I've been posting some more Popeye stuff at my blog, which you can see here, here, here, and here.
Update: I took a little time and listed all the references I made here at the blog, if that's the kind of thing you want to check out.
