THE DALEKS by Dan McDaid

Hello! Didn't have time to do a proper Doctor Who TWART this week (ironically, I've been too busy drawing the strip in the UK's Doctor Who Magazine. Ooh, fancy!). But I did have time to fit in a quick commission for a pal. So never mind the Doctor, here's THE DALEKS:

Hope you like it! (and if you do, there's tons more Doctor Who stuff over at my website!)

DOCTOR WHO by Evan Shaner

Like Chris and Mitch, I've only started watching Doctor Who in the last year or so. I would've loved to draw one of the earlier incarnations, but I'm really only familiar with the last three. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like every time any of the companions met each other they were always squabbling initially. Fun pick, Chris!

DOCTOR WHO by Mitch Gerads

I consider myself a big WHO fan, but I am going to come clean with you folks. Prior to the relaunch of the series in 2005, I knew it existed but never cared to watch. So when The Breitweisers told me I should watch it, who was I to argue with them? So I did and I became a mega fan! I'm also a believer in each Doctor has been better than the last, so the current Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith is my top Doctor choice. It could also be largely due to Amy Pond. SWOON!

Hope you dig my illo, this one was an absolute blast to do. I've been wanting to do a definitive Doctor piece for some time now, so Mr. Samnee gave the perfect excuse. Thanks, Chris! Below you'll also find my inks for the piece as well as a Matt Smith Doctor illo I did a few months back.

DOCTOR WHO by Chris Samnee

I'm sorry to say I'm only a recent convert to Doctor Who.
Through the wonders of Twitter ,I had come to know and become a fan of Matthew Dow Smith's artwork. Luckily enough for me around the time of my first exposure to to his work Matt was the artist on the Doctor Who comic put being put out by IDW. So, in a bit of a backwards fashion, my first exposure to the Doctor was through the comics. He and Tony Lee's work on the Fugitive arc of the ongoing series to be precise.
Needless to say I was hooked and quickly sought out the TV show that inspired this wonderfully offbeat comic. I started with the Eccleston episodes and made quick work of all the recent seasons.

Just a few nights ago I finished making my way through the Matt Smith (no relation to Matthew Dow Smith by the way) episodes and couldn't possibly be more in love with show. Just top-notch stuff from beginning to end.

So a big thanks to Matthew Dow Smith, for without his amazing work to follow and second-to-none enthusiasm for the material, I might not have ever stumbled on to something so fantastic. Cheers, Matt.

Pencils for this can be found on my blog HERE.

CAPTAIN MARVEL by Ron Salas

I've always liked Capt. Marvel, even more than Superman. Always thought he had the greatest premise for a superhero ever. Always thought his costume design was better.
As I grew older I still maintained this belief. But now it's bolstered by my love of mythology. Because Capt. Marvel at his essence is a character powered by myth.

CAPTAIN MARVEL by Evan Shaner

Spoiler warning: there is no next page. I've got nothing that I haven't said on the internet a million times already, but Captain Marvel's a favorite of mine. Sorry for the nonsense "storyline" but it was an excuse to fit in as many characters as I could.

Excellent pick, Ron!

CAPTAIN MARVEL by Chris Samnee

Not sure if this gag has ever been used in the comics, apologies if so, but it made me giggle : )

Great pick, Ron.

There's more Marvel family to be found over on my blog here, here and here if you're up for taking a detour.
