Thanks for indulging me this week, guys. Popeye's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, long before I started reading about capes and such. If for some reason you haven't picked up that first volume of Segar's strip from Fantagraphics, do yourself a favor and read up on some of the funniest writing and sharpest cartooning in comics history.I've been posting some more Popeye stuff at my blog, which you can see here, here, here, and here.

No Point Buck and Eric- Awfully close, except that's Brutus in Panels 2,3, and 12. And panel 10 is not from the 40 thieves cartoon, it's from the live action movie. That IS Bluto in Panel 9 though.
