CLARA de NOCHE by Nathan Fairbairn
I knew as soon as Mike told us that this week's twart would be Clara de Noche that my piece would feature her and her son, Pablito. Their relationship is the only one of any value in any of the Clara stories I've ever read. It's what saves the strip from being pure objectification. It brings some humanity to the character.
This was supposed to be much more involved, with a crowd of drooling jerks in the background ogling Clara, but I got laz ... er ... I felt the piece didn't need it.

PERFECT! yeah, one of my favorite strips is where she's thinking about Pablito all day even while working. It's so sweet, and funny.
Fantastic work :)
Thank you for showing this side of Clara as well, Nathan: your drawing depict the cuteness of this situation prefectly :D
Cheers,
Francesco
I don't know if I've already said this, but your style is ADORABLE.
Beautiful piece, Nathan. The ogling idiots would only have distracted from the story, I think :)
Oh man, so glad you put Pablito in there, Nathan!
Really like the pose you drew here Nathan :)
Thanks a lot, guys! Dan, I really don't do enough drawing to feel like I've got anything like a consistent style, but I'm starting to think I'm getting there. Thanks for your support!
Awwwwww.
