ZORRO by tom fowler
like some of my fellow twartterers, i wasn't totally satisfied with my first go at this...
so i did a second:
i had loads of fun doing these, either way, and i'm looking forward to what's next!
EDIT: some of us here on twarttington lane have been having trouble getting the comments section to work for us. which makes it difficult for us to say thank you or call andy a jerk...
if there's anyone out there who's encountered and overcome this "select profile" style comment problem, please enlighten us in, well, the comments.
and thank you all.
...except andy.

Super Mega Awesome-Tastic! There's a great extra little flair to both of these, Tom.
Oh and welcome!
Looks who's awesome...IT'S TOM FOWLER!
we just got SCHOOLED!!!
beautiful work tom.
We just got Fowlered!
Ah, fantastic stuff Tommers!
I really like the heroic shot, but i think i prefer the first one. It's really subtle, not as obvious as.... well.... mine, for example.
Gorgeous work! Toth would be proud.
These are fucking amazing.
The storytelling in that first one is superb.
i like it! though the figure is sweet, i really enjoy the scene as it evokes the swashbuckling feel of zorro!
Both are beautiful. Wonderful work!
that was weird...
yay! thanks laura.
and thanks everyone else.
Wow...just...wow.
YAY, I can comment now! Thank you, Laura :)
Great drawings (as mentioned elsewhere ;)): love that first one. Now I know why you needed "solicitado" ;)
Cheers,
Francesco
I like both, but the depth of that first one is great, Tom. Not to mention the great shadow work.
His face in the second one is fantastic though.
I want to buy all the art on this blog. How much for every Zorro piece!
sal,
i can't speak for anyone else, but certainly anything i post here is for sale.
just head on over to my site and click on "commissions" for an idea of price and how to get a hold of me.
...and remember, i'm your private dancer. your dancer for money...
These are gorgeous, sir. GORGEOUS!!
Wow, these two absolutely blow me away. Love the sense of motion and depth in the first one and your rendering of cloth and how it moves in the second.
Just WOW.
They're both amazing, but I love the depth and storytelling in the first. That would be a lot of fun to color. (Not that it needs color, just saying is all ... ;)
